Newer trucks with trailer management systems monitor the power draw on the trailer connector in order to automatically modify vehicle settings when a trailer is connected. Depending on the year and make of your vehicle, the HitchMount LED may interact with this system if equipped.
You will need to determine if this product fits your vehicle based on you having a standard 7 pin trailer wiring harness. We also have the below known fitments:
Ford: No trailer is detected, no warning messages.
GM/Chevy: This product is not compatible with 2020+ trucks.
Jeep: No trailer is detected, no warning messages.
Ram: Trailer management system may detect trailer – testing in progress.
Toyota: No trailer is detected, no warning messages.
NOTE: This product is not compatible with the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma.
