Viewability – The VWD Awning series has the largest viewing area of any of the vented styles of windows we offer. The main glass of the window is a solid window and only a minimalistic frame surrounds the awning glass giving you an unmatched viewing area in an opening window. The awning dimensions are 18-11/16” W x 16-13/16” H.
Convenience – Awning windows cannot be open while driving, sliding windows cannot be open during rain. The VWD Camper Van Awning Window has addressed these shortcomings by having heavy-duty pistons that hold the glass open, featuring a locking knob. This provides extra security for the window and the ability to open the window and lock the pistons to use it while driving.
On the interior of the VWD Camper Van Awning Window is an accordion-style screen that is inset into the frame of the awning window, so you can open the window to the desired location by utilizing the two locking levers, then simply pull down the screen and enjoy a large, screened opening.
Security – When the VWD Camper Van Awning Window is closed, two levers swing and lockdown on both bottom corners of the window. You then push the release button to swing the lever open making it nearly impossible for a would-be thief to enter through awning glass when locked. What about when the window is open? To add an additional layer of protection, the hydraulic pistons feature locking knobs! Simply slightly open the awning glass, then lock the piston knobs down; the window won’t be able to be moved from the outside, making it far more difficult to utilize the opening as entering point.
