Dakota Lithium 12V 100AH Deep Cycle LIFEPO4 Battery w/ CAN Bus Specifications:

STORAGE CAPACITY: 100 Ampere hours (Ah). Dakota Lithium batteries provide consistent power for all 100 Amp hours. DL LiFePO4 batteries have a flat voltage curve, which means they have a steady power output as the battery discharges. The power output will not dramatically drop like similar sized SLA batteries. You get all the juice down to the last drop.

VOLTAGE: 12.8V (Dakota Lithium 12V batteries can be used in series for up to 48V systems)

ENERGY: 1280 Watt-hours (Wh)

TERMINALS: M8 Terminals with marine & automotive grade terminal covers. (Max torque 15 ft. lbs.)

SIZE: 10.23″L x 6.60″W x 8.66″H (260mm x 169mm x 215mm) (220mm to top of terminal) Group 24 equivalent.

WEIGHT: 27.55 lbs (12.5Kg). That’s 60% lighter than a SLA battery.

GROUP SIZE 24: BCI Group Number 24 & Group 24 equivalent / compatible for physical dimensions (L x W x H) & terminal location. Usable deep cycle capacity is much higher (2x) than a lead-acid battery of the same group size. Deep cycle only. Not for starting engines.

LIFECYCLES (BATTERY LIFESPAN): Up to 80% capacity for 5,000 cycles in recommended conditions. The typical SLA has 500 cycles. Dakota Lithium batteries last so long that the price per use is a fraction of traditional batteries.

OPERATING TEMPERATURE: Ideal for rugged & harsh environments. Much better than SLA or other lithium’s. -20°F min, +120°F max optimal operating temps (battery performs well down to -20°F). Avoid charging below 32°F.

DISCHARGE: 100A max continuous, 200A max pulse 10 second pulse. The flat discharge voltage curve provides a 75% bigger capacity than a 100Ah SLA battery.

CHARGE: 50A max, 14.4V recommended, 14.6V max. Included is a LiFePO4 compatible charger. A SLA charger may work, but will reduce performance and lifespan of the battery.

INCLUDES ACTIVE BMS PROTECTION: Contains a circuit that handles cell balancing, low voltage cutoff, high voltage cutoff, short circuit protection and high temperature protection for increased performance and longer life.

CERTIFICATIONS: All batteries are UN38 certified. Dakota Lithium’s cells are UL1642 certified and have been tested per IEC62133 standards. Meets all US & International regulations for air, ground, train, & marine transport.

UL & RVIA COMPLIANT: UL 2054 certified and RVIA compliant – Recreational Vehicle Industry of America

ISO 9001:2015: Dakota Lithium is ISO Certified per 9001:2015 standards, and select models are produced in ISO 14001 certified facilities.

CHARGER INCLUDED: 12V 10A LiFePO4 charger included. Dakota Lithium 12V batteries should be charged at 14.4 volts, higher than AGM or lead acid. Lead acid chargers will work, but will only charge the battery to 80% of capacity.

CAN-BUS COMMUNICATION: R485/CAN bus data communication port. CAN bus communication port and compatibility for connecting to marine, off grid, and automotive electronics. 7 pin CAN plug with hardware included.

ON/OFF CONTROL OF BATTERY TERMINALS VIA EXTERNAL DATA PORT: Control the terminals of your pack externally, or remotely. Two analog control pins allow you to connect either or both to a (third) power pin to disable charging or discharging. Independent Charge/Discharge shut offs can be triggered by an external switch or logic controller. Shut off only the charging function, or only the discharging function, or both, and re-activate them at will. Useful in larger automated systems or local smart-grid projects.

The average lifespan of a Dakota Lithium Iron Phosphate battery is 2,000 recharge cycles or roughly 5 – 10 years with regular use.
