The Dometic CoolAir RTX-SPXT-IK RTX 2000 Air Conditioner Installation Kit (9100300152) includes the roof seal, mounting brackets, and an interior beauty trim. Additionally, there is a 24V Cable that is not used with the Dometic RTX 2000 Watt 12V Camper Van Air Conditioner (9600028490).

The Dometic RTX 2000 Air Conditioner 12V Wiring Kit (4450022959) and the Dometic CoolAir RTX-SPXT-IK RTX 2000 Air Conditioner Installation Kit (9100300152) from Nomadic Supply Company are MANDATORY for the installation of the Dometic RTX 2000 Watt 12V Camper Van Air Conditioner (9600028490) to have a valid warranty.

Roof Seal
The roof seal has adhesive on one side to secure it to the van’s roof. We also suggest using Sika Sikaflex 715 10oz. Polymer Self-Leveling Sealant on the side of the seal that the A/C sits on.

Mounting Bracket
The mounting brackets include two cross beams and bolts that drive into the A/C, securing it to the roof. The interior cover hides the mounting components for a clean look.

Dometic CoolAir RTX-SPXT-IK RTX 2000 Air Conditioner Installation Kit (9100300152) Specifications:

  • The interior trim is fairly large, so most builders don’t use this trim
  • Rubber gasket (shorter) for sealing the AC baseplate to the roof of the installation. Note that the required wiring kit includes a taller version. Most installers prefer the shorter version but the taller version is helpful in certain installation conditions.
  • Mounting brackets
  • Various hardware (as pictured) for securing the unit
  • A 24-volt wiring harness. Note: we only sell the 12-volt versions of the RTX 1000 or RTX 2000. Therefore, this 24-volt wiring harness should NOT be used. Instead, you need to purchase the 12-volt wiring kit.
