The S&B Mercedes Sprinter 37-Gallon Spare Tire Basket Water Tank (10-3001) is designed specifically to fit the Sprinter 2500 spare tire basket if you have a Sprinter 3500 you will need to buy a factory tire basket from a Sprinter 2500 for this water tank to fit.
The S&B Mercedes Sprinter 37-Gallon Spare Tire Basket Water Tank (10-3001) can be filled by gravity feed or hose using a fill kit. To transfer water from the tank you’ll need a water pump or to plumb it into a system with the ability to siphon.
Mercedes Sprinter dually vans (3500) are not the same as Sprinter 2500’s. You might need to modify your spare tire brackets or cut spacers from the frame of the van. Dually wheels are narrower in width than non-dually wheels, so the spare tire basket isn’t the same. The S&B Mercedes Sprinter 37-Gallon Spare Tire Basket Water Tank (10-3001) is made for the Sprinter 2500, NOT the 3500.
This is an Official Nomadic Supply Company Product that we use to build our Mercedes Sprinter camper vans.

How to Clean Our Camper Van Water Tanks:
Make sure you rinse the water tank before first use, as there can be plastic bits left in the tank from the manufacturing process.
Nomadic Supply Company recommends using our Lippert Floë Compressed Air Camper Van Fresh Water Flushing System throughout the year to keep your water system completely pristine. In addition to flushing your water system you can also use bleach or vinegar to clean our fresh water tanks, or you can one of our camper van fresh water tank cleaning solutions. To clean your tank with bleach or vinegar follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Drain the water tank completely
Step 2: Mix 4 oz bleach or vinegar with 1 1⁄2 gallons of hot water
Step 3: Pour bleach/vinegar solution into tank
Step 4: Fill tank with fresh water until its full
Step 5: Let sit for 12 hours
Step 6: Drain the water tank completely, refill with fresh water and drain completely again (you may need to repeat this rinse step a few times)
Camper Van Water Tank Venting:
Polyethylene camper van water tanks must be vented. These fresh water tanks are not designed to handle pressure or a vacuum. A vent is necessary because as the tank is filled or emptied of its liquid an equal proportion of air must be displaced simultaneously. Discharge of a water tank without a vent would cause a vacuum to occur. A generally accepted rule concerning vent size is that it should be the same size as the tank’s largest outlet.
