The C6 Outdoor Rev Tent Vehicle Rooftop Platform X from Nomadic Supply Company is a simple and strong deck that sets up off the side of your vehicle for a classic rooftop tent look and an “Overland” vehicle-style camping experience. With the C6 Outdoor Rev Tent Vehicle Rooftop Platform X you can use your C6 Outdoor Rev Tent for vehicle rooftop sleeping on most vehicles with cross bars or flat deck roof racks (for Roof Racks at least 48″ x 84″ we recommend the Rev Rack Tent).

With the C6 Outdoor Rev Tent Vehicle Rooftop Platform, you can use your C6 Outdoor Rev Tent for vehicle rooftop sleeping on most vehicles with cross bars or smaller flat deck roof racks. The C6 Outdoor Rev Tent Vehicle Rooftop Platform folds open to create a perfectly sized deck for strapping down the Rev Tent.

FOR USE with LOAD / CROSS BARS:  The bars must be straight. Bars with too much curve over the span, such as most OEM bars, are not compatible. While oval shaped bars can be used, square or rectangular bars offer best fit. Bars must have dimensions no wider than 10cm / 4” and no taller than 4cm / 1.5”.    

FOR USE WITH ROOF RACKS:  Only compatible with flat deck style racks. A raised perimeter may interfere. If rack slats are larger than dimensions listed above for the cross bars, you may need additional mounting hardware. Please refer to the manufacturer of your roof rack for the recommended way to mount a roof top tent. The C6 Outdoor included hardware is about as ‘universal” as it gets, but there are many different styles and sizes of roof racks and the C6 Outdoor included hardware may not work in all applications.

Q: HOW EASY IS IT TO SET UP THE REV ROOF TOP TENT? 
A: Remove the ladder and Rev Tent from the platform. Attach the ladder to the platform (no tools required). Fold platform open. Pitch the tent. Attach the Rev Tent to platform. Should take no more than 5 minutes. And no longer than the setup of a standard soft shell roof top tent.

Q: HOW DO I TRANSPORT THE LADDER WITH THE REV ROOF TOP TENT? 
A: You can transport the ladder inside the vehicle or truck bed, or you can transport it outside the vehicle. We at C6 call this packing method the “Pancake Stack.” The ladder, stored in the ladder case, is strapped to the tent, which is in turn strapped to the platform. The Platform kit includes all the necessary Rev Straps.

Q: I’M WORRIED I’M TOO SHORT TO SET UP THE TENT WHILE IT’S ON THE  VEHICLE. 
A: You might be! Who are we to judge? You can stand on the tires and inside the vehicle with the doors open to assemble the poles, or many Rev experts choose to set up the tent on the ground and then lift it to the top of the platform. Remember, the tent only weight 25 lbs and can be carried by 1 person.

Q: CAN I MOVE THE PLATFORM ALONE OR WILL I NEED HELP? 
A: The platform weighs 52 lbs / 23 Kgs. One person can lift the platform to the vehicle roof before a trip, or to remove it for storage after a trip.  If you’re worried about damaging the vehicle or unable to lift the 52 lbs, we suggest asking a pal for help.

Q: CAN I LEAVE THE PLATFORM ON THE VEHICLE? 
A: You can, but ideally you remove it after camping season. You’ll get many more years of use out of the product if it is kept out of the elements while not in use.

Q: HOW HARD IS IT TO ASSEMBLE THE REV PLATFORM X?

If you can follow directions and have used a wrench and a screw driver before, not hard at all. There are a bunch of repetitive steps to secure the extrusions.  Please view the assembly instructions before purchase if you are at all concerned!  If you’re overwhelmed or too busy to bother, your local off-road shop or a halfway-motivated Task Rabbit worker can help you assemble the platform.  Assembly takes about 2 hours.
